Just a teensy update here, I have the general design for the characters mostly covered, so in terms of their design, this is all refinement and development. What I really tried to hone is how Im going to colour the work. Throughout this process, I've looked at quite a few comics (already owning a small collection also), and there is definitely a standard format of working with digital in the industry. So much so that any works I own that use a different medium really stand out. This has therefore influenced my own work, Im going to work in crayon. Its a medium I feel quite comfortable with, but most importantly it is one, I feel, a younger demographic can relate to and work with themselves.
