Having had a crit with my slides, I've come to some conclusions on what my project will be. Starting off with my question, "How does colour effect narrative in comics".
This is the feedback I got from the crit, looking at both the slides, and my Journal:
Strengths-
- Has a clear idea and path to follow thanks to the specific nature of the question
-Breadth of research to work from
3 positive points on the journal-
-Nice colours
-Clear relation to the written work, sharing purpose
- Thorough process
3 areas of further development in journal-
-More colours than just nice colours, experiment with usage
-Experiment on new subject matter, more than the character and basic colours
- More work in the visual journal
Synthesis, does it feel connected-
-Yes, a clear connection between theories on colour usage, and application of it.
Next steps within the project-
More experimentation with colour, going further than basics, and the yellow bastard character.
