The look of the comic

I wasn't entirely sure on how to colour the comic. I wanted the characters to be the only coloured aspect of the scenes, but then had the worry that this may trigger the connotation of a scene taking place in the past (idea covered with southern Bastards in the essay), so had to think of a reason for the design being this way. I then happened to have a spark of inspiration for the narrative:

Doberman Comic cover

What if the comic is from the perspective of a dog. Based on the fiction that dogs cant perceive colour (super untrue), the story would start in greyscale, with the dogs opinion on characters being portrayed in their colour, and the environment changing colour to fit the mood/ atmosphere of the scenario.
